Nourished Roots Therapy Services offers the option of a co-evaluation for feeding and lactation needs by both a Speech-Language Pathologist and an Occupational Therapist to provide a comprehensive assessment and treatment plan. Children are often referred to feeding therapy for either discipline, however both physicians and parents are often unaware of the implications for whether a child would benefit most from either an SLP or OT feeding intervention. 

This comprehensive assessment is rarely seen in a private outpatient setting, however, our therapists have experienced the frustration of families that are made to wait extensive time periods for multiple assessments just to find the right provider for their child’s needs. We hope to bridge this gap in the outpatient setting for more individualized and comprehensive care.
